Plant donations will be accepted until the sale. We especially need vegetable starts – if you have extra, please consider donating one to the library!
All proceeds go to support library programming.

Computer problem got you down? Feel like your smart phone is a little too smart?
Or, maybe you’re thinking of taking your research to the next level, learning a new language, or picking up a new skill, and you want to know more about the library’s online classes to help you get there.
Whatever you want to do with technology, your librarian is here to help. Drop by on Saturday from 10am-12pm for personal tech help.
Bring your list to the library Wednesday, December 19 at 6 pm to share with Santa. He’ll arrive by firetruck to give the reindeer a break before their big night. We’ll have cookies and drinks to keep you happy while you wait your turn!
Story time is back with a new, improved time: Mondays at 11am. This story time is aimed at preschool aged kids, but children from 0 to 100 are welcome as long as they’re looking for a good story!
We’ll be getting ready for Halloween (or your fall festival of choice) with pumpkin carving and ghost stories on Thursday, October 25, from 4-6. We’ll have a few pumpkins and carving supplies available, but please bring your own if possible. We’ll also have coloring and craft projects for younger kids to help us decorate the library.
We’ve been busy here at Calef getting our collection cataloged and online. Now, you can search through our collection easily, find new books you might like, and see what’s available easily with our online catalog!
Check it out here: http://catalog.kohavt.org/. Select Calef Memorial Library, explore, and let us know what you think.
(And don’t worry, the card catalog isn’t going anywhere.)
Washington celebrates Memorial Day next Saturday with a remembrance ceremony at the Baptist Church at 10am, lunch afterwards, and Calef’s all-day annual book and plant sale fundraiser. We have a great selection this year, so come check it out!
All books are just $1 each, and all proceeds benefit the library.
(Note: There will be no story time that Saturday because of all the other events.)
